yes they WILL I just cannot tell you when. But for Visa to get into something like this on the ETH chain; they must realize the fee's will be off-putting. So I believe there are probably some guarantee's, and even perhaps timelines Vitalik is not disclosing.
Why? - Accumulation perhaps (which this whole month may have been stealthily used for)

I own some UNI and I believe that when fees will get to decent levels UNI will fly once again.

The upgrade coming this summer is going to make the fees more predictable.
Down the road, they will drop the fees but it might be a couple/few years out.
So there is room for many others to step in and get things moving in another direction.
Ethereum will likely be a chain for the large players who really dont care about a $50 fee when moving millions of dollars.

I still have not made up my mind if this upgrade will actually lower the fees, or if it was a desperate PR move. Have the miners calmed down yet?
I got out of ETH; wasn't an easy choice, but for now BNB (though centralized and chinese) and CUB (very few doubts about that) seem to be the way to go. For me.
