Silence of The Plebs

I have quite a few friends who are into crypto thanks to yours truly. None of them is on Hive and I don't know who to blame on this one, me for not being a too strong advocate or them for being so blind and asleep.

As you may have noticed, if you got people into investing in crypto, or brought them to Hive, these often come towards this space during bull markets, or better said near or after the market has peaked.

The reason why this is happening is that that's when they are bombarded with confirmations coming from the mainstream media that "yes, now is the time". When a new type of asset, like BTC, crushes its previous ATHs and claims new ones it becomes a subject of discussion almost everywhere, from Facebook to traditional media outlets.

I remember my mother telling me about all sorts of Facebook posts she was bombarded with back in 2021. I guess I should have realized that this was a top signal, but that's irrelevant now. What's highly relevant, though is that she's not asking or telling me anything regarding crypto anymore.

I bought some coins for my parents back in the spring of 2021 and they're not asking about them at all lately. They used to be interested in this, I used to be asked by neighbors about this topic quite often as well.

I no longer get these discussions from anyone close to me. It's like crypto no longer exists for these people. I have a friend who just a few months ago was telling me that he would like to make a crypto fund for his one-year-old kid.

I was baffled about that, especially because I knew the guy doesn't fundamentally understand crypto. I guess this is the reason why he has not put the plan into action so far. He used to always consult me when doing stuff like that(buying crypto).

Now he wants to import SH cars and sell them here... That's so outdated imo... The beginning is near though. I love this quote from the pic I've chosen for this post, which is actually "stolen" from a tweet of Jameson Lopp. The beginning of a new trend in crypto is near.

The beginning of a new era for humanity is near, too, one that does not necessarily have to fulfill the globalists' 2030 agenda. It is always the darkest near the dawn and all these signs that I'm getting from average individuals that have even the weakest connection with crypto are important hints for me.

I mentioned yesterday in a post that @edicted was saying in one of his posts from a couple of days ago that we're close to getting out of a descending triangle Bitcoin is in for quite some time. He shilled some more "data on twitter" today supporting this narrative.

He's not the only one looking at the RSI and other metrics that are "lead indicators" for the market. However, the plebs are silent, they're not interested because the confirmation coming from their usual educational sources is not there.

The media is never spot on in pricing in anything related to the market, but unfortunately, the masses are still deeply media reliant. I am not 100% sure that "this was it" and we are now close to changing trends, but my gut feeling is telling me we are.

Plebs are good market indicators and they now seem to be deeply asleep. The sleep is always the sweetest near the dawn, thus the dawn might be here, and plebs will once again miss it. That's about it for today, wish you all a great day, and see you in the next post.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

How can I say, some of those incidents match up with my life story dude. None of my crypto friends are in on Hive. Not sure which is the issue but seems like it might be one of the above you stated in the post.
Although I am baffled you were being interviewed (in a way) by your neighbors and others. It might have been amazing to spread knowledge 😉

While mainstream media is going to play their role for a long time. But I suppose its influence is slowly decreasing over the time. And as soon as it fades away and people do their own research Crypto will shine for long term.

We're still early and it feels that crypto is so old at the same time.

Investing in crypto currency takes patience and understanding to do so. Why you see that they no longer say anything about it is because they didn't understand it at first

Most of these people do fall into this category, that's true.

I have seen this kind of mentality and cycles for over 10 years.

Always the same pattern. Most retail 'investors' only FOMO, and then got burned by pump and dump all the time, and then got discouraged.

Best time to accumulate has always been when no one wants to touch it.

When all the retail investors are interested, guess what, time to book profit. This is like clockwork and never fails.

There is an old saying, when every mom and pop and taxi drivers become financial advisors and give you stock tips, run for the exit, as the market has topped (sucked in all the suckers and no more dumb money, so smart money will exit and crash the party)

I could not agree more on this one. It took me however two cycles to digest it properly.

Agreed. That phenomenon was famously first time spotted at the end of Roaring 20ies. Then came Wall Street Crash and Great Depression and it took decades for a Little Guy to start contemplating investment in stocks.
