I saw a tweet today, and interesting tweet coming from Leofinance twitter account with a screenshot showing some Leofinance app asking for permission to push notifications to an IOS smartphone.
They said they're in testing with the app, a few days ago and so far Leofinance team has proved to be doing what they're saying, thus the screenshot mentioned above and uploaded below.
That's massive, you know. It's massive because this type of an app, whether project blank or just a mobile version for Leofinance is actually making Hive mobile. When it comes to internet usage, 90% of the time consuming it in that regard is done on my smartphone.
I only use my laptop when writing posts, as I am doing right now, it's a bit hard to do that on a smartphone. Having a mobile app for Hive not only means we can be connected to the ecosystem "at a push notifications" level. You basically don't have to keep on checking on your smartphone for updates on your Leofinance posts or comments.
I also believe that other tribes will be incentivized to follow suit, thus really transforming Hive into the blockchain for everything. Watch out Ethereum, we come after your ass...:D
So far the talks are related to IOS, but my hopes are we're gonna have an android version too. Otherwise I'll have to switch between ecosystems. Highly excited though. Great job @leofinance!

Yep! We've built on a framework than can push updates to IOS, Android and Desktop Web app simultaneously. This will mean that LeoFinance.io will also get replaced by the new framework which means an entirely new UI for web-based usage (it's also way better than current implementations).
The future is looking incredible. I think onboarding through the mobile app is going to be a huge selling point both for LeoFinance and the Hive blockchain. Imagine just shooting your friends a link (or showing a QR code) with a referral link. You get a % of rewards and they get sent straight to their Device's app store to download a LeoFinance application. Onboarding is going to use LeoInfra V2 which means seamless sign ups and logins via:

We know for sure that multiple methods to onbaord users help greatly. @splinterlands would not have done so well without their expansion into other blockchains and custodial accounts. I'm feeling even more optimistic than I used to regarding LEO. Can't wait to see Project _____

Apps are good for reading new stuff when you are away from the computer. For writing though ... Less so.

I agree that much of engagement is mobile, and only becoming more so over time. This is a great move, and I wish I had the chance to beta test it, since I am on Leofinance everyday, but one day soon I will have the finished product to enjoy.
