It's a quick recap on how dCrops has been doing and the game's token CROP.

But something notable recently happened which was the Olive Tree Sale in collaboration with Splinterlands. Below shows a steady increase in demand for CROP from the lowest price of 0.005 Hive per CROP.

There are no announcements regarding any plans for the upcoming game's anniversary April 14, 2024 as of today.
This reminds me of a chart pattern if you're into technical analysis where the price is about to breakout off the accumulation phase.
and what are the chances when BTC is trending up (at the time of this writing anyway) and Hive happens to lag up as well. I personally don't subscribe everything technical analysis says. From experience, Hive Engine tokens tend to fall when Hive Prices go up.
A total of 500,000 CROP tokens will be allocated to the reward pool every season which lasts for 15 days. This number will decrease by 0.5% every season. - dCrops
We have a 362783.203 CROP reward pool at the time of this writing. That's plenty of seasons passed when your old ALPHA card collection yielded you more CROP tokens than it is today. For players who rely mostly on just planting seeds and selling for shares, expect a faster decline in returns as more players would be building cooking / crafting equipment to create more items that generate shares greater than the sum of its ingredients.
The price of CROP has been relatively stable because majority are holding and you'll see some small drops in price right after the end of season when players take profits. But who knows how holders would react when Hive makes a run up in price.
Holding 20,000 CROP tokens for an average of 15 days will give you access to Hive airdrops from the player reward pool.
Where to get the cheapest 2000 CROP?
Packs hold about 2000 CROP power if unopened.
In game shop value of DCBETA packs at the time of this writing and worth 3$.
Tribaldex value is at 8.75 Hive.
And if you buy 2000 CROP at 0.0099 Hive you get 19.98 Hive.
So if you're trying to hold CROP for the daily Hive airdrops, DCBETA packs are the cheapest alternative. But this isn't the only way to generate more CROP power because when you put CROP into SWAP.HIVE:CROP liquidity pool:

The simplicity of dcrops tokenomics is great. Each season more is minted, but it goes down by 0.5% each season. It started at 500k CROP for the reward pool, now almost 3 years later it is rewarding about 360k crop each season (15 days). The game doesn't need to figure out what to do after token mint stops (since it never stops). But the token does get harder to acquire as more players join and split the reward pool. CROP is also the primary way to participate in holiday events as a fee to try to acquire the event specific NFTs.
It also helps that most high stake holders are still around even during the bear markets and the price has been stable. I would appreciate kitty releasing more stats about the game or have a page that updates stats. The challenge also comes with releasing more content to keep CROP utility floating beyond just holding for Hive rewards.
The price actually went quite up. Really went up massively and this is great to see
I think I love how the dcrop tokenomic is been structured and I really hope it continues that way actually
