        Air Travel Improvements: Flight Cancellation Numbers Decreasing, Airport Investments Increasing

        In a year so far that had been marked by the Boeing scandal and labor problems between flight attendants and management at several airlines, some good news has emerged in the aviation world.

        The cancelation rate of flight is at its lowest in years.

        Despite record-breaking levels of air travel this year, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) numbers show that the flight cancellation rate for the first half of 2024 was just 1.4 percent – nearly the lowest rate in more than a decade.

        The same rate was recorded in 2015.

        Aer Lingus Forced To Cancel More Flights

        Aer Lingus has been forced to cancel some flights next week due to what is called an ‘industrial action’ – or a labor issue – by the Irish Air Line Pilots Association (IALPA).

        The flight cancelations will take place between July 11 and July 14.

        These are in addition to flights that have already been canceled. The Irish carrier made the announcement on its X feed. The airline said it was due to the “indefinite nature” of the action.

        Certain flights from Manchester, England, are not affected, but the airline said to please check to see if you are impacted.
