As our access to knowledge has dramatically expanded, so too has the pressure to know more. Information is now at our fingertips, and the temptation to collect it is hard to resist. We save articles that catch our interest, bookmark pages that seem useful, and download e-books with the intention of reading them "later." Yet, when we look at the sheer volume of our collections, it can feel overwhelming. The realization that we are not consuming this knowledge creates a tension between our aspirations and our limitations.
