In our travels, we stumbled upon the historic settlement of Hægeland before turning towards Stavanger, a city shaped greatly by wealth from its rich offshore oil fields. As we departed the city, the predictable Norwegian rain greeted us, but it did not diminish the vibrant scenery. The rocky landscapes gave way to majestic views along the Lysefjord, steep cliffs, and endless valleys, each one telling a story forged during the Ice Age.
