In the early 1990s, as Yugoslavia descended into civil war and strife, Vucic, swept up by the nationalistic wave, joined the Serbian Radical Party (SRS), led by the infamous Vojislav Šešelj. In the context of a deteriorating socio-political landscape, Vucic's early political career was marked by radical proclamations and inflammatory rhetoric that sought to galvanize Serbian nationalism during a time of conflict.
Rising through the Ranks
Vucic quickly ascended within the SRS, becoming the youngest member of the Serbian parliament in history by the age of 23. He was vocal in his advocacy for Serbian military action during conflicts in Bosnia and Croatia, often employing harsh and provocative language that drew from the dark chapters of Serbian history.
