Lou Ahmed was a dedicated human rights activist and writer in Yemen, advocating for women's rights during the Yemeni revolution. In Sweden, Ahmed initially felt the warmth of acceptance but soon began to witness a different side of the nation. As refugees flooded the country, he encountered a troubling dynamic in refugee camps where extremist sentiments sometimes flourished. Rather than being a simple refuge from tyranny, Sweden became a juxtaposition of ideologies, prompting both hope and despair.
