Part 3/13:
The story of Sudan is not confined to modern conflicts; it is steeped in a rich tapestry of history that predates colonialism. The region was once home to the Kingdom of Kush, a powerful adversary of Egypt, best known for producing the "Black Pharaohs." By 750 BC, the Kushite kings forged significant advancements, extending their reach to govern parts of Egypt itself. However, as with many great empires, decline came from within and from rival forces, leading to centuries of turmoil.
