The Underlying Issue of Wealth Inequality
A common thread uniting both Labor and Trump is their failure to address the damaging consequences of wealth inequality. Policymaking in both cases seems oblivious to the idea that increased wealth concentration among the rich results in direct negative effects on the living standards of the majority. Money, in itself, is not an ultimate resource; it is fundamentally an instrument of distribution. As wealthy individuals accumulate more capital, they inevitably outpace the average citizen in securing essential resources such as housing, contributing to a growing economic divide.
