Part 2/10:

Typically, presidential elections in Ukraine are held every five years, as mandated by Article 103 of the Ukrainian Constitution. The last election took place on March 31, 2019, when Volodymyr Zelensky, formerly a television personality, decisively triumphed over the then-incumbent, Petro Poroshenko. Zelensky garnered a remarkable 75% of the vote compared to Poroshenko's 25%. Poroshenko's administration was characterized by a staunch anti-Russian stance; however, his mixed performance on economic and anti-corruption issues made him a less favored candidate compared to the anti-establishment Zelensky.
