The Journey of Coffee: From Ethiopian Highlands to Global Staple
Coffee, a beloved beverage enjoyed by millions around the globe, has a rich and intricate history that traces back to its origins in the highlands of East Africa, particularly in what is now the Kaffa province in Ethiopia. The fruit of this plant, known as the coffee cherry, contains two beans that, once roasted and ground, can be infused in boiling water to create what is referred to as "Buna."
