Working with Cryptomator is straightforward. Setting up involves creating a vault that generates two essential files: vault.cryptomator
and master key.cryptomator
. These files manage the encryption process. While they ensure that all files within this vault remain protected, it’s crucial for users to create a backup of both files.
Within the Cryptomator framework, the encrypted files adopt non-descript names, obscuring their contents from potential intruders. Each file, inaccessible in a conventional manner, will appear unintelligible without the correct decryption process.
