Character arcs also fell victim to the show’s decline. Initially nuanced and relatable, the characters began to embody extremes that detracted from their depth. Peter Griffin shifted from being a well-meaning goof to a sociopathic man-child, lacking any redeeming qualities. Brian, who once embodied the essence of reason, transformed into a hypocritical character that alienated viewers. Stewie, too, lost his charm, devolving into a caricature devoid of the brilliance that made him a standout character.
