Amidst this turbulence, the BRICS nations—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, along with newer members like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, Ethiopia, and Indonesia—are beginning to view this environment as an opportunity. Together, this coalition represents a formidable bloc that holds around half of the world's population and significant shares of trade and vital resources. Despite possessing internal capacity and growing membership, BRICS has not yet wielded the concerning influence that could allow it to operate as an alternative to a U.S.-centric global economy.
