Next came the walls and ceiling, where a combination of recycled materials and traditional insulation was employed. The owner used Dodo fleece for tight spaces and thermal liner for the wall panels, emphasizing the importance of avoiding compressed insulation, which could compromise effectiveness. They then battened the walls, ensuring appropriate support for future cabinets.
After installation, the most daunting task—adding windows—was undertaken. With a friend’s assistance, they carefully followed pre-marked lines and used protective tape to safeguard the van’s metal body during installation. Precision was key at this stage, as ensuring an airtight seal on the windows was paramount to avoid leaks later.
