Fast forward to 1939, and the historical events leading up to the Second World War largely remain unchanged. Adolf Hitler, having risen to power in the early 1930s, aggressively expands German territory. After annexing Austria and demanding Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia, Germany’s ambitions lead to an invasion of Poland, prompting the Allies to declare war.
As Hitler aligns with the Soviet Union, the two powers swiftly conquer Poland, allowing Germany to shift focus to the West. Faced with a fortified French border, Hitler opts to invade Norway to secure vital resources. This invasion triggers a series of rapid German victories across Europe, leading to the fall of France and the creation of the Vichy regime.
