On March 7, 2014, Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 departed from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, headed for Beijing, China, carrying 239 passengers and crew. The flight initially ascended smoothly until it vanished from radar screens about 40 minutes into its journey, somewhere between Malaysia and Vietnam. While many theories surfaced, evidence suggests that the disappearance was not a mere accident, but potentially a deliberate act by an individual aboard the aircraft.
