Part 4/8:
The initial search operations, which lasted nearly three years, concluded in January 2017. Following the official suspension, hope for closure began to wane among families of the victims. However, a resurgence of interest in the case has emerged, leading to the resumption of search operations by Ocean Infinity, a company specialized in high-tech seabed exploration.
Why Now?
The renewed search for MH370 is timed with the advancement of search technologies and a growing resolve by Malaysian authorities, coupled with Ocean Infinity's confidence in its capabilities to search under a no-find, no-fee contract. The company is willing to invest up to $70 million, contingent upon finding the wreckage.
