The Beginning: A Grating Headache

My story begins in 2017 when I deployed to Afghanistan. After returning and traveling through Europe, I resumed work, only to be met with an unbearable headache that I couldn’t shake. As I sought relief through codeine, new regulations necessitated that I visit a doctor to continue my medication.
