The 2024-25 season highlighted the depth of the crisis in Belarusian football, as Dynamo Minsk represented the first club to qualify for a European competition since the 2018-19 season; however, their performance was dismal, finishing 33rd out of 36 in the UEFA Conference League group stage.
Additionally, other clubs faced embarrassing losses to lesser-known teams from San Marino and Moldova, showcasing the stark decline in competitiveness. Furthermore, the general inability of Belarusian clubs to even reach the group stages of European competitions marks a significant drop from their previous standards.
