Let us imagine that the Roman legionaries possess a unique form of psychological training that prepares them for encountering modern firearms. In this scenario, we must first juxtapose the capabilities of both forces. The Marine platoon consists of 43 soldiers armed with M4 carbines, M27 rifles, M320 grenade launchers, M67 fragmentation grenades, and M240B medium machine guns. In contrast, the Roman legion comprises 5,000 soldiers equipped with gladii, pilum, and various forms of armor and shields.
