To address this, La Paz developed the Mi Teleférico, a gondola transit system that began operating in 2014. While other cities, both within Bolivia and across South America, rely on bus lines or limited subway systems, La Paz's gondola network comprising ten lines stands out not just regionally, but globally. It has serviced over 520 million passengers in its first decade, demonstrating its effectiveness in overcoming geographical challenges.
