Part 2/8:
I first acquired a solar generator setup priced at $100. This product was unsurprisingly from a no-name brand, and upon unboxing, my initial excitement quickly gave way to skepticism. The design seemed acceptable, but the power station itself was disappointingly small and appeared incapable of running any significant loads. Notably, the battery lights were so dim that it was hard to gauge its current charge status, leading me to quickly question my investment.
The solar charger was less concerning, featuring multiple connectivity options, including USB-C, regular USB, and even a 12-volt DC port. Additionally, I aimed to track its solar energy output using a meter. Unfortunately, I encountered connectivity issues due to the design of the port, making it harder to gather useful data.
