As I learned more about the struggles faced by our players, it became imperative to take action. Food insecurity, unemployment, and homelessness are prevalent issues in Nairobi, and many of our athletes are directly affected by these factors. Understanding this context led me to convene a meeting with our core team to devise a plan that would not only uplift the players on the field but also enhance their quality of life off the pitch.
Introducing the backbone of our local operations:
- Daniel Otto: The technical director of Kahawa Pride FC, who is also the newly elected representative for the Nairobi East youth football region, has been pivotal in guiding our strategic decisions. His extensive knowledge of local football has been invaluable since day one.
