Upon landing, the adventure truly began. The excitement met reality as the traveler navigated the foreign train system, unsure of which route to take. The anxiety of language barriers surfaced, but a little help went a long way in easing their nerves.
With yen in hand courtesy of a local ATM, they marveled at the straightforwardness of numeric currencies across the globe, even when language offered little assistance. Understanding the value of their dollars, the traveler decided to head towards Tokyo downtown. The decision was fueled by a desire for exploration; no plans needed—just an open mind.
