While Israelis maintain strong alliances with Western democracies, they are increasingly ambivalent about international bodies, viewing them as selective in their enforcement of international law and often harmonized against Israel. This skepticism extends to new relationships with non-democratic states, which provide political and military support without the insistence on human rights conditions that Western allies often impose.
The conflict has also impacted emerging normalization efforts with Arab states, notably post-Abraham Accords discussions, raising questions about whether mutual recognition can occur amidst rising distrust and violence.
