Part 2/8:
Historically, Borussia Dortmund has been regarded as one of Europe’s great underdogs. Their rise to prominence in the 1990s and 2000s was largely driven by significant financial backing. However, a near bankruptcy in 2005 forced the club into a strict budget, changing their operational model drastically. In 2008, the appointment of Manager Jurgen Klopp marked a pivotal turning point. Klopp's high-energy style known as "gegenpressing" turned Dortmund into a serious contender; they won back-to-back Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012.
