On the early morning of May 7, India executed Operation Synindor, targeting what it described as terrorist infrastructure associated with militant groups such as Jaish-e-Muhammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba across six sites in Pakistan and Pakistani-controlled Kashmir. The Indian military claimed that no civilian or Pakistani military infrastructure was targeted, framing the air strikes as preemptive actions to combat terrorism.
However, Pakistan vehemently contested India's claims, asserting that civilians, including a mosque, were indeed hit. Pakistani authorities reported at least 26 civilian casualties and 46 injuries from the air strikes, escalating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
