In 2023, escalating conflicts in Sudan have given rise to one of the largest wars on the planet, particularly characterized by fierce battles between the Army and paramilitary forces. This violence has uprooted millions, with nearly 11 million people displaced and around 3 million seeking refuge in neighboring countries. Among them, an estimated 600,000 refugees have fled into Chad alone, accumulating alongside past refugees from earlier conflicts – a sizable number of over 1 million people now seeking safety in an already resource-strapped nation.
