Companies have the power to revoke access to content that users thought they had purchased, leading to feelings of frustration and helplessness. Examples abound across industries: when Google shut down its Stadia service, players lost access to their purchased games; and when cloud services or digital storefronts close, users often receive no compensation or alternatives.
