A New Approach: The Burpee Revolution
In seeking a solution, I proposed to my wife that I could significantly reduce my training time to 80 minutes per week — a change that would promise a happier husband and a better father. Thus began my quest to reimagine fitness, which serendipitously led me to the burpee.
Inspired by a video of a US Marine performing various burpee variations, I realized this single exercise could provide the intensity and conditioning I sought without substantial equipment or time commitment. I committed to two types of burpees: the six-count burpee for leg strength and cardiovascular fitness, and the Navy Seal burpee for upper body strength.
