Throughout this journey, one major lesson stood out: it’s vital to focus on creating satisfied viewers, not just good metrics. While statistics like swipe rate and viewer retention are important, they do not tell the full story. What truly matters is whether viewers enjoyed the content enough to engage with it further.
In fact, I discovered that many videos performing well in terms of metrics did not get pushed by YouTube because they didn't offer an engaging storyline. A video might have a high retention rate due to clickbait tactics, but if viewers feel cheated or disappointed with the content, it ultimately undermines their experience.
