Secondly, there is a noticeable shift in social identity among younger African-American men, who are placing less emphasis on race as a defining characteristic and, in some cases, are drawn to aspects of Donald Trump's rhetoric.
As a result, the Democrats have seen a significant drop—around 10%—in support from this crucial demographic, which has had particularly damaging effects in swing states like Georgia and Michigan.
