Part 5/8:
As I began this new routine, I soon found myself averaging 15,000 steps a day—a remarkable increase. After just one week of diligent dieting, exercise, and stepping, I had already shed 2.5 kg, which boosted my motivation further. I managed to incorporate treats into my daily diet without feeling deprived, a feeling that kept my spirits high even amid less-than-ideal weather conditions.
However, about a month in, I noticed my motivation dwindling. The novelty of my routine faded, and I became unintentionally reliant on caffeine, leading to poor sleep quality, affecting my recovery and mood. I also faced a mental hurdle of body dysmorphia, struggling with how my physique looked amid dietary restrictions. This led to feelings of frustration and fatigue.
