One of the more challenging transitions was permanently letting go of Google Maps, a staple in optimizing my commuting experience. I opted for my car’s GPS features, which, while not as precise, proved reliable enough for my lifestyle.

After months of experimenting with various alternatives and configurations, my transition from a Google-centric digital life to self-hosting an array of services has been gratifying.
