However, simply doing what you love does not equate to total freedom. The second aspect of freedom involves the ability to step away from your work whenever you choose. True freedom is characterized by a sovereign ability to say “no” to obligations, giving individuals permission to take a break at any moment without concern for repercussions or responsibilities.
If individuals can only engage in their passions because they need to earn money to sustain their lifestyles, they remain shackled to those same economic demands they wished to escape. Without the means to enjoy leisure without financial strain, the individual is not fully liberated.
