As Winston Churchill once said, “You can always count on Americans to do the right thing after they’ve exhausted all other options.” Essentially, the U.S. Congress's unwillingness to enact meaningful reforms may lead to a future where the consequences of continued inaction become inevitable. The American public, the economy as a whole, and even global markets stand to suffer under the weight of an unresolved fiscal mess.
