By week six, my progress plateaued despite intermittent fasting. Drawing from ancient practices, I started prolonged fasting—alternating days or extending fasts to 48, 72, and even five days. Surprisingly, the longer I fasted, the easier it became, and I consistently lost around 4-5 pounds weekly. During fasts, I only consumed water, coffee, lemon water, or sparkling water, and I ate intuitively on non-fasting days—sometimes clean, other times emotionally driven. I never counted calories during these fasts, trusting that allowing my body to enter ketosis naturally burned stored fat.
