The continent recognizes that its strength lies in unity; breaking the EU into smaller, individual nations would benefit the U.S., which prefers to deal with divided, less influential entities that rely on American protection.
The EU’s support for Ukraine and its internal reforms threaten to diminish America’s geopolitical influence. By becoming a more integrated and assertive bloc, Europe challenges the U.S. narrative that it should be the sole global dominator.
