Another effective approach involves deriving an intro from the dominant (V) chord of the key. A series of tension-increasing chords starting from F11, moving through D major over F (F13b9), G♭/F (which offers a Phrygian-like flavor), and F7#9, can create a compelling lead-in to the melody. This method sets up a dramatic entrance into the song's main theme.
