Part 3/7:
The story then shifts to quiet Oklahoma, where William Henry McCarty lives a simple life with his son, Wyatt. Both Henry and Wyatt, along with Henry's brother-in-law Al, toil each day on their farmland, engaging in mundane yet fulfilling agricultural tasks. During one of their routines, they encounter a bloodied white horse, leading Henry to embark on a search for its owner, which soon takes a darker turn.
Henry's search leads him to a dead man, marked by gunshot wounds and clutching a bag of money. His initial instinct is to leave the man be, arguing with himself over the morality of taking the money. Ultimately, he brings the man back to his home, setting off a chain of events that would change their lives forever.
