The Haunting Aftermath
Upon arrival at the airport, news of Hans's murder surfaces, garnering mixed feelings within Jason. He tries to dismiss the creeping sense of dread as he encounters toys reminiscent of his victim's brand—an unsettling reminder that perhaps the world of innocence and play may not be so benign after all. Once home, he attempts to stave off paranoia with mundanity—where he swims in his pool, battles the ghosts of his conscience, and collects mementos of his grim profession.
