The introduction of Edgar—the only Brother that has shown signs of instability—serves as the inciting force that threatens the existence of the Brotherhood. As Edgar succumbs to madness, he begins to prey upon humans, igniting fear and causing a rift within the Brotherhood and the community. Silus struggles to contain the fallout when his brother's violent tendencies come to light.
