In a series of harrowing events, desperation leads Stan to gun violence, resulting in chaos that culminates in his demise, taking several others with him as the portal claims its victims. The remaining operators, mentally dominated by the portal, succumb to its control as they enter one after another, leaving behind an empty call center just as the SWAT team arrives—too late to save them.
