Part 2/9:
The film opens in Montauk, New York, where a tow truck driver named Gary faces an emotionally challenging situation while repossessing a car from his ex-girlfriend, Maddie. Maddie, in a bind due to an unpaid property tax on her deceased mother's house, is struggling to maintain her livelihoods. As a bartender and Uber driver, losing her car spells disaster for her already precarious situation. Despite her persuasive attempts to convince Gary, her arguments are undermined when another man she has just hooked up with arrives, leading Gary to tow her car away in a swift dismissal.
