Part 4/8:
In one significant moment, Francis’s fragile mental state is revealed when he experiences an anxiety attack in a power generator room reminiscent of a prison cell—emphasizing his struggle against the ghosts of his past. Meanwhile, Iris, overwhelmed by stress, tries to negotiate their safety with Francis, but his growing fixation on the farm alienates him from his family.

Francis becomes increasingly resentful, especially towards Josh, revealing deep-seated issues stemming from a past affair Iris had years ago. Francis’s irrational decisions stem not only from paranoia but also from an insatiable need to control his family, much like how he was controlled by his father during his childhood.
