Part 5/7:
While the group initially attempts to maintain a facade of calm, humor and reprieve from the horror start to creep in as they share their backstories, divulging their fears and shortcomings. Eddie and Willow momentarily connect, leading to a heartfelt promise from Eddie to take her out on a date, should they survive.
However, the story quickly pivots again into horror when they hear strange noises, and zombies begin to infiltrate their sanctum. The rich mixture of humor and terror comes to a head as Janet finally acknowledges the harsh truths about their social dynamics and confronts her own reality. The group attempts to escape using the library's ventilation ducts yet finds themselves trapped and forced to rely on each other more than ever.
