Part 4/8:
Despite her fears, Jennifer perseveres, fashioning makeshift weapons and traps to protect herself. She learns to hunt and attempts to outsmart the creature that has taken so much from her. Her days blur into nights as she becomes more attuned to the island's rhythms, although not without moments of desperation, including a near-fatal encounter that sends her fleeing into the forest.
In an unexpected turn, she encounters the remains of another shipmate, Zach, and uses his body as bait for the beast that tormented her. This encounter leads her to build her own strategies for survival—a mix of revenge and self-preservation. Each attempt she makes to lure the creature closer to her equips her with the resolve to confront her fears.
